Hi, I’m Maia 

Your Ally for an Intuitive, Empowered Birth Experience—Rooted in Wisdom, Trust, and Sovereignty.

I am a mother, birthkeeper, and birth educator devoted to reclaiming birth as a profound rite of passage. For over 20 years, I have studied and witnessed how the way we are born shapes not just mothers and babies but entire families, lineages, and communities. My approach weaves together physiologic birth education, deep mental and emotional preparation, and the unseen spiritual dimensions of birth to help women and their partners step into birth with trust, sovereignty, and full presence.

My journey into birth work began when, at just 13 years old, I witnessed my aunt give birth—a moment that awakened something deep inside me. Since then, I have trained with renowned midwives, attended births in home, birth center, and hospital settings, and immersed myself in traditional birth practices, somatic wisdom, and the numinous initiation of motherhood. After experiencing my own self-directed home water birth, I knew I had to step fully into this calling—guiding women toward birth experiences that are deeply intuitive, embodied, and transformative.

I created The Birth Experience because I believe birth is more than a medical event—it is an initiation. My work is for those who feel the call to birth differently, who want to claim courage in the face of fear, reconnect with their instincts, and prepare in a way that is both practical and spiritual. Birth is not just about bringing a baby into the world—it’s about bringing you into your fullest self.
